במידה ואתה מחויב ברישיון עסק, לכל עסק יש את מספר השנים שהוא מקבל עבורו רישיון. לדוגמא, בית מרקחת יקבל רישיון ל-5 שנים. לעומת זאת, פאב יקבל רישיון ל-10 שנים וכך גם מספרה, בעוד שקיוסק יקבל רישיון ל-15 שנה. הכל תלוי בפריט הרישוי של העסק המבוקש. יש לזכור כי לאחר 5 שנים מרגע חידוש או הוצאת הרישיון, יש לבצע בדיקה תקופתית. לפירוט על כך- בשאלה הבאה.  
על פי חוק הנגישות כיום בית קפה מעל 50 מ"ר מחויב באישור של מורשה נגישות ולא יכול לבצע בדיקת עצמאית על ידי תצהיר. ברישיון העסק הבא שלך, תוכל לבדוק בצו החכם של נציבות שיוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות, האם החוקים השתנו בנוגע לפריט הרישוי שלך ויתכן כי תוכל לבצע תצהיר עצמאית.
​הצו החכם לרישוי עסקים​​​

זו שאלה מורכבת ויש לבחון אותה במספר מישורים. האם המקום הוא חדש או נחשב עסק ישן?
האם ישנם שירותים סמוכים אחרים בקניון או במתחם?
האם ישנם סיבות על פיהן המקום פטור משירותי נכים?
לאחר בדיקת כל הנתונים הללו, ניתן יהיה להגיד האם המצב הקיים חוקי או לא. 
באופן כללי, כל מקום שיש לו 2 סניפים או יותר צריך שתהיה לו מערכת שמע לאנשים עם מוגבלות בשמיעה בעמדת שירות. במידה ויש לעסק סניף אחד ואינו רשות ציבורית, לרוב במידה וגודל המקום מתחת ל150 מ"ר המקום יהיה פטור ממערכת שמע. כמובן יש להתעדכן בחוקים המתחדשים ולראות כי לא חל שינוי בחוק.
במידה והתקנת מערכת שמע, יש לבדוק כי תמיד היא במצב דולק ומחוברת לחשמל וכי המיקרופון מופנה לנותן השירות.  
הכניסה היא אחד מן המרכיבים הרבים שבודקים בבית העסק. כחלק מסקר הנגישות יבדקו מרכיבים רבים נוספים, כגון המעלית, החנייה, השירותים, עמדות השירות, הקופה, מכשולים שבדרך, נהלים שיש להעביר לצוות העובדים ועוד.
לאחר בדיקה מקיפה, במידה ויהיו תיקונים שיש לבצע, ישלח לך דוח מסודר עם הסברים ושרטוטים. לאחר ביצוע התיקונים, העסק יאושר ותוכל לחדש את רישיון העסק. 
מספרה מתחת לגודל של 100 מ"ר יכולה לעשות תצהיר נגישות ולבצע את ההנגשה לבד, כיוון שנחשבת כעסק קטן. מספרה מעל 100 מ"ר לעומת זאת, תצטרך יועץ נגישות לביצוע ההנגשה.
במידה ושטח העסק שלך קטן מ100 מ"ר, יש להוריד את הטופס של "תצהיר עסק קטן" מאתר נציבות שוויון זכויות, לעבור על המאפיינים במסמך ולתקן באופן עצמאי את הליקויים בבית העסק. לאחר ביצוע התיקונים יש לחתום מול עו"ד שאתה מצהיר כי ביצעת את התיקונים הדרושים ואת הטופס החתום יש לשלוח לאגף רישוי עסקים לחידוש או הוצאת רישיון עסק חדש.
בצו רישוי עסקים, רשום מי נחשב עסק קטן שיכול לעשות תצהיר באופן עצמאי ומי זקוק ליועץ נגישות לביצוע תהליך ההנגשה. 
האתר שלך כנראה שאינו נגיש דורש בדיקה מורשה נגישות מוסמך.
